One Sixth of My Heritage is Swedish

In light of things international, I thought I'd share this little fact:

Type my name into Google: Petter, Alexis.

Now, what you'll find is not a picture of me and a Webster's dictionary definition of 'gullible' or 'crazy', but you will find a Swedish rapper named Petter Alexis. The irony!

I found that out when I was 12 and wondered why my name had over 100,000 hits.

Haha.

Meetings This Week

Wednesday's Holland AM Rotary meeting was the big breakfast. Yum, I love bacon. I read the poem "Invictus" for the 'great question/quote to live by' part of the meeting because "Invictus" is a very encouraging poem. My grandparents (mum's side) attended as visiting Rotarians from the South Haven Rotary Club, and they enjoyed it very much. Thank you to the hospitality of the AM club this week.

Today's Holland PM Rotary meeting was fun; it was at East Elementary/Middle School of Holland Public Schools. Rotary, as I found out, does this event every year: they watch a performance put on by the second and third graders along with the students who participate in the special education program in the Holland Public Schools district. A lunch is served and you get to meet the aformentioned students. I enjoyed this event very much, and especially loved when a man dressed as Santa walked in saying "Ho-ho-ho" and the kids were SO excited; "Santa's here! Santa's here!" they said, "I believe in you!". It was very cute.

Can't wait until next week! Well...not exams.

Much love.

Radio Show

Radio show was fun... Uneventful. Asked where I want to go, why, etc...

Had the same answers.

Can't wait for tomorrow! :P

Love the new accumulation! Snow is my best friend. :P

Much love.

Accepted/Radio Show

Last Friday I was officially accepted into the Rotary Youth Exchange Program! Yay, woo, little dance. :)

Tomorrow I'm supposed to be on a radio show and talk about my preparations for exchanging and how I got involved with Rotary, etc, etc... Should be fun!

Today is the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, one of the best oratories ever! Kudos to Lincoln.

To my lovely exchange friends, this Friday, party, mi casa--be there!

Much love.
